School of Iqra is a Quran learning programme for anyone who wants to start reading the Quran from the very basics. Using Iqra books 1 to 6, this programme guides you step by step — from recognising Arabic letters, combining letters into words, learning basic Arabic words, to reading full Quranic verses with proper pronunciation and tajweed.
Open to everyone, whether you are a beginner or someone who wants to refresh and strengthen your reading skills.

Quran Learning Development
Learn to Read the Quran with Proper Tajweed and Makhraj
Masjid Assyakirin offers Quran Learning Development (QLD) classes for all age groups — from children to adults. These classes focus on improving Quranic reading with proper tajweed, makhraj, and understanding of Arabic letters and rules. Conducted in small groups of 6, each class provides personal attention and step-by-step guidance from qualified asatizah.
QLD Adult (20 Years & Above)
For adults who want to start reading the Quran or improve their tajweed and makhraj. Classes include learning Arabic letters, fine-tuning pronunciation, and understanding tajweed rules such as waqf, ibtida, tafkhim, tarqiq, ghunnah, and mad.
Class Options:
• Wednesday Basic (6:30 PM – 8:00 PM) — Fully booked
• Muslimah Saturday (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM) — 3 seats remaining
💰 Fees: SGD 50 per month + $25 annual supplementary fee + ($20 registration fee for new students)
📍 Location: Assyakirin Mosque
QLD Children (5 – 12 Years Old)
For children who are starting to learn the Quran or want to strengthen their reading. Classes are age-appropriate and based on competency. Children will learn Arabic letters, basic tajweed, and proper recitation techniques in a fun and engaging way.

QLD Teens & Youth (13 – 19 Years Old)
For teenagers who want to improve their Quran reading skills and tajweed. Suitable for those starting out or wanting to polish their recitation. Classes include lessons on makhraj, sifaat, waqf, ibtida, and other tajweed concepts.
