Our Daily Programme

Assembly

  • Before curriculum time, the children will assemble at the Kindergarten's foyer in their respective classes. Children will read the Islamic Declaration, Shahadah and sing the National Anthem.

Circle Time

  • Children will read Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Kursi, al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq and An-Naas. It will be followed by the du'a for lessons and revise the Surah/du'a for the week.

Small-Group

  • Discussion about the day's topic/theme is done with a small group at a time while the other children get to choose a learning centre to work on. Lessons will be taught through hands-on and exploration as children learn better through sensory exploration.

Outdoor

  • Children will be engaged with different types of activities that will enhance their physical development; activities that include materials such as hoops, beanbags, balls and parachute.

Islamic Social Studies

  • Discussion about the adaab and akhlaq appropriate for a Muslim.
  • Iqra - Session will be done in a small group basis. Each child will read at their own pace.

Snack

  • Mondays to Thursday only.
  • Nursery (20 mins)
  • K1 & K2 (15 mins)

Computer Literacy

  • In small groups, children will be at the Computer Lab once a week (30 - 40 mins per session). In the meantime, other lesson will progress as per normal.

Field Trips

  • Field trips will be conducted according to the theme. For each trip, children will focus on 1 to 3 types of facts. For e.g:

Theme: Pets                        Visit to Jurong Bird Park: Focus - Parrot

  • This is to let children have sufficient time to make observations for the purpose of discussion/brainstorming during the follow-up lesson the following day. Children are encouraged to participate in the field trips as they are part of the curriculum. By missing the field trips, children will miss taking part in the discussion/brainstorming session.

  • The class schedule and hours will change. Parents have to make their own transport arrangement, where needed.

Assessment

  • Child's developmental progress will be done daily. It will be recorded in the Class Log Book and kept by the Teacher-in-Charge. For the parents, the Developmental Progress Report Book will record the child's developmental progress and can be viewed at each Parent-Teacher Conference.

Portfolio & Diary

  • Your child's work will be compiled in a folio throughout the year. This will allow you and the teacher to see the developmental progress of your child. In addition to the folio: K1/K2 - will also have a journal that has to be filled 2 - 3 times a week.

'Caring Parents, Loving Child'

  • A themely newsletter which will be distributed to inform parents on what your child will be learning/having for the theme.
